From Our Home to Yours, and Beyond.
I am Zimbabwean, my husband is Ghanaian, and in our home, jollof rice quickly became a favourite, especially with our kids.
Because I did not grow up making jollof, it was not something I could prepare confidently at first. For a while, we relied on my mother-in-law to make it for us. As much as we loved every pot she made, we wanted to learn the process properly.
So we studied her techniques, her recipes, and the small details that made her jollof so special. We also learned how to pressure seal the stew so it could be safely preserved without refrigeration.
Once we perfected the right ratio of stew, water, and rice, everything changed. I could make fresh, flavourful jollof for our household in a fraction of the time.
That is when we realized it could help other homes too.
233 Flavors started with our jarred products and a few stores willing to give us a chance. The response was overwhelming. People loved the convenience, but we also saw a need for prepared meals.
So we expanded into street markets, community events, festivals, and now our food truck.
We Show Up For Our Community.
From street markets to a food trailer, 233 Flavors is always showing up. Here's how we can show up for you.
Street Markets
Find us at the market. When the warmer months roll around, you’ll find us out at the street markets - set up, ready to serve, and happy to meet you. It’s one of our favourite ways to connect with the community, introduce new flavours, and share the story behind the dishes we serve. Come for the food, stay for the conversation.
Check our Events calendar for upcoming market dates and locations
Festivals
Community is at the centre of everything. There’s nothing like being in the middle of the energy. Festivals are where we thrive - surrounded by music, culture, and people who are there to celebrate and enjoy. We show up to be part of the experience, not just feed the crows. Find us at the heart of the festivities, serving bold flavors and soaking in every moment right alongside you.

Why 233?
Ghana's international dialling code is +233. For us, it's more than a phone number; it's a reference point. A reminder of where the food comes from, what it's rooted in, and the culture it carries with it.
Every jar of 233 Sauce (Shito) and every bowl of 233 Jollof rice is a small piece of that.
Where We've Been.
